In warm weather, we wear socks to absorb sweat from our feet.
The first socks were made of animal skins.
In 1000 AD socks were worn only by rich people.
These socks were made in 300-500AD in Egypt.
In 1589 the Knitting machine was invented.
This meant that socks could be made quickly and cheaply.
Now, everyone could wear socks!

As your know japan is very cold, they dont have Heating equipment except air conditioning...socks are really important!!! they are my best friends!
