Life in Tokyo

Things are fine in Tokyo.

We could buy water at our local shop.

There was a lot of water in the shop.




These days, there is not enough electricty.

Once, the elecrtricity in our house went out for one hour.

It was not so bad.

We used candles!

Many shops are using less electricity.

They don`t turn on all of the lights.

 I think this is GREAT!

Usually, they use too many lights!

I like this style!

Also on the trains, they don`t turn on the heater.

This is GREAT!

In Tokyo, they make the trains TOO HOT in winter and TOO COLD in summer.

I feel comfortable on the trains now!

Let`s keep this style FOREVER!!!

2011 Sendai Earthquake and Tsunami Part 2

Now people are worried about food.

They are buying so much food!

People have to wait in line to get into the store!

My wife was lucky. She could enter the store!

Many people could not enter the store!

In many shops, there is no food!


All of the water is gone!

There is no more bread!

There are no sandwiches!

This is very scary!



At night, everyone stays at home.

I took these photos at 8pm.

Usually this place is very busy!

But these days, there are few people!

The TV news said that there might be another big earthquake soon.

I feel afraid.

I am hoping for the best!

2011 Sendai Earthquake and Tsunami

Yesterday there was a big earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

I live in Tokyo so I could feel the earthquake.

It was so strong!

My wife and I are both OK.

My wife was at home in Fuchu

She said the room was shaking so much.

Even now, the room is still shaking a little.

We can see our plant is moving.

I was in Meidaimae train station

Many people were afraid.

They tried to hold on to anything.

When the earthquake stopped I called my wife.

Many people were using the telephones.

I talked to my wife and I was very happy that she was OK.



After that, I waited at the station.

Many people were waiting.

In the end I walked home.

I walked for 3 and a half hours!

I was tired when I got home but I was very happy to see my wife again.

We were very lucky!

My Holiday!

My holiday is very good!

I finished the meditation course. The meditation course was very difficult but I am very relaxed.

But I am still busy. Now I am in the hospital. My hand surgery is tomorrow.

Now I am preparing for the surgery.

I had to shave my hand. I have never shaved my hand before. It was strange. Dinner will be at 6 pm. Will the food be good? I don't know.

I am not worried about the surgery but I am worried about the food!

This is funny.

The man is stupid but his friends are cruel!

I have not updated my blog for a long time.

I have been busy........relaxing!

Now, I have my spring holiday!

But I have some plans.

First, from Feb 9th to Feb. 20th I will be in Chiba doing meditation.

After meditation I will relax........for only 2 days.

My next plan is to have an operation on my hand.

Look at my middle finger.

It is out of shape.

I hurt this finger because I was foolish.

I was riding a kickboard.



I fell off.

So I hurt my finger.

Now it can not bend.

I went to the doctor's office.

The doctor told me that I must have surgery.

After the surgery, I will have to stay in the hospital for one week.

The doctor said that the rehabilitation will take 3 or 4 months.

The rehabilitation will be very painful.

I am worried about this.
