How to use NEWGROUNDS.

Newgrounds is a very interesting website. I like Newgrounds very much. It has lots of short movies and games. I will show you how to use this website.

Go to the Newgrounds website.

This is the "Front page". The best of the new movies/games are put here. Choose a game/movie and click on it. The next window will have lots of information about the game/movie. Look at the information and decide if you want to watch/play the movie/game.

Age Rating
Every movie/game has an "age rating". This shows how old you must be to watch the movie.

There are 4 ratings.

1) ALL AGES
Everyone can watch this.

2)TEENS
You must be 13 or over to watch this.

3) MATURE
You must be 17 or over to watch this.

4)ADULTS
You must be 18 or over to watch this.

Be careful!


Author's comments
The Author (the person who made the game/movie) wrote his comments about the game/movie.

Score
Every game/movie has a score. 5 is the best. 0 is the worst. If you join newgrounds you can vote on the score.

Reviews
People write how they feel about the game/movie. If you join Newgrounds you can write your own reviews.

If you want to play/watch the game/movie click "PLAY THIS GAME" or "WATCH THIS MOVIE".

JOIN NEWGROUNDS!!
This website is more fun if you join Newgrounds. If you join Newgrounds, then you can; vote on a game's/movie's score, review a game/movie and keep a list of your favorite games/movies. If many people give a game/movie a very bad score then it will be "BLAMED". This means it will be taken off the website. If many people give a Game/movie a very high score then it can win an award. The author is very happy if he can get an award.


How to join Newgrounds


Step 1:
Go to http://www.newgrounds.com/

Step 2:
Click on "" Not a member? SIGN UP!"
This is in the top right corner.
A new window will appear.

Step 3:
Fill in the form.
At "Alias", type your username.
You can choose any name. Choose a name you can remember easily.

At "First Name" type your First name.

At "Last Name" type your last name.

At "Password" type your password. Choose a password you can remember easily.

At "E-mail" type your email. If you don't have an email go to Yahoo.com You can make an email address here.

At "Confirm E-mail" type your email again.

Under "Confirm E-mail" there are 3 boxes. There is a check mark in each box. Click on each box and the check marks will disappear.

At "Gender" choose "male" (man) or "female" (woman).


When you are finished click on "submit" and wait.

If it says "Thanks for joining!" then go to Step 4.

If it says "Error - that alias is already taken" click on "go back" and choose a different username.


Step 4: Go to your email and look for a mail from g-bot@newgrounds.com. Open this mail and look for the sentence "You need to validate your account by following the link below:" Click the link under this sentence.

A new window will appear. Look for "Success! Your Grounds Gold account has been validated. If you would like to log into your account, click here."
Click on "Click here".

You have now joined Newgrounds!!


How to review a game/movie

First watch/play the movie/game. Then click on "REVIEW THIS SUBMISSION".

Part 1) Choose numbers between 1 (very bad) and 10 (very good) for Graphics, Style, Sound, Violence, Interactivity, Humor and Overall.

Part 2) Write the title of your review.

Part 3) Write your review.

Part 4) write your username and password

Click the box next to "I have read and understood the guidelines for posting reviews to newgrounds.com."

Click on "Submit your Review"

There is one problem with Newgrouds. There are many "Pop-ups". A Pop-up is a window that appears but you don't want this window. A Pop-up usually says "Warning!", "New offer!", "Jackpot" or "Help support newgrounds". You should close these windows. Don't click on them.
